Gutter Guard Consumer Warning

Kansas City Market Homeowners

If you had Gutterglove Gutterguard installed on your home from December 2010 through December 2012 by KC Gutterguard (also known as Kansas City Gutter or KC Gutterglove), there is a possibility that you are victim of a con-game where you were sold a specific high quality, high rated product (Gutterglove Pro), but the contractor installed something completely different (Gutterdome).

We have confirmed that owner/operator Mark Stephens of KC Gutterguard has been installing a Chinesse made, lower-cost, inferior gutter guard called Gutterdome to homeowners who originally signed an agreement to have the #1 rated Gutterglove Gutterguard installed. Gutterglove Pro uses a high quality type 316 stainless steel micro-mesh and Gutterdome uses lower quality type 304 stainless steel micro-mesh (Type 304 is generally used for indoor applications). After 511 hours of salt spray testing, type 304 began to have problems as can be seen in the photos. NOTE: The type 316 mesh sample tested is from Gutterglove, Inc.’s Do-It-Yourself gutter guard, and the type 304 mesh tested is from another competing gutter guard and not Gutterdome.
